It all began at the Pirate Press.
Alyssa has been in the Graphic Design, Photography, and Copywriting world since the birth of social media. As an editor on her schools newspapers, magazines, and yearbooks, Alyssa knew design was her path very early on. Over the years Alyssa has honed her skills both professionally and through a Bachelor’s program at ASU’s Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering. Alyssa is scheduled to graduate December 2024.
What is ARae??
Alyssa's business derives its name from a deeply personal source: her beloved grandfather, Ray, who has been a profound influence on her life and creative journey. Drawing inspiration from her artist signature, A.Rae, Alyssa recognized the resonance of this moniker for her enterprise. Additionally, the realization that "ARae" elegantly echoes the concept of "array" further underscored its suitability.
Moreover, our ethos is rooted in the awe-inspiring energy of the sun, the celestial body that sustains life and radiates power throughout our solar system. Much like the warmth and vitality evoked by gazing upon the sun, our mission is to imbue each of our creations with a similar sense of vitality and emotive resonance, ensuring that when you behold your finished product, you experience a profound connection and upliftment.
Meet the Founder
Alyssa Boaz
Artist
Art has always been Alyssa’s passion. From a young age, it was words: poetry, stories, & songwriting spoke to her soul and helped to navigate through angsty adolescence. As a young adult, art shifted in the medium of painting, photography, and digital design.
Mother
In November of 2011, Alyssa was gifted with the blessing of a lifetime: a spunky little girl. Adyssen has made her a better person and has given her life purpose and a “why”.
She married Adyssen’s father in December of 2014. He is her high school sweetheart and biggest supporter. Adam pushes her to evolve into a better version of herself daily. That kind of effortless love is what she hopes to capture in portraits.
They have four rescue fur babies: two cats & two dogs.
Student
It’s not easy being a young parent in a two-income household. For years she put off finishing her Bachelor’s Degree. In 2018, however, she enrolled in ASU’s online Graphic Information Technology program and is set to graduate this December.
Alyssa loves to learn new techniques and cannot wait to share them with family, friends, and clients.
